Submission Guidelines
Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript to Journal of Start-Up Innovation and Management (JSIM).
General Guidelines
- Language: All submissions must be in English.
- Originality: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Format: Submissions must adhere strictly to the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition style guidelines. This includes formatting for headings, citations, references, tables, figures, and overall manuscript structure.
- Word Limit: The maximum word count for the main body of the paper (excluding abstract, references, tables, and figures) is 5000 words.
- Abstract: A concise abstract of no more than 250 words is required. It should summarize the paper’s purpose, methodology, key findings, and implications.
- Keywords: Provide 3-5 keywords that accurately reflect the content of your paper.
- Anonymity: For the peer-review process, ensure your manuscript is anonymized. Do not include any author identifying information (names, affiliations, contact details) within the manuscript file itself. This information will be provided separately during the submission process.
Manuscript Structure
Your manuscript should typically include the following sections, formatted according to APA 7th Edition:
- Title Page: (Submitted separately with author details, not part of the anonymized manuscript)
- Full Title of the Manuscript
- Author(s) Name(s)
- Affiliation(s)
- Contact Information (email)
- Abstract (250-word limit)
- Keywords (3-5 words)
- Introduction: Provide background, context, and the paper’s objectives.
- Literature Review: Discuss relevant existing research and theoretical frameworks.
- Methodology: Detail your research design, participants, data collection, and analysis methods.
- Results/Findings: Present your findings clearly and concisely.
- Discussion: Interpret your results, discuss their implications, and relate them to existing literature.
- Conclusion: Summarize key points, highlight contributions, and suggest future research.
- References: List all cited sources in APA 7th Edition format.
- Appendices: (If applicable) Supplementary materials.
Submission Process
Manuscripts should be submitted through our online submission system available here. You will be required to:
- Upload your anonymized manuscript file (e.g., in .docx format).
- Provide author information separately.
- Confirm adherence to ethical guidelines and originality.
